Our faith is not one of certainty, it’s a faith of possibility.

Jesus comes as the least of these, asking “how are you going to prepare the way for me?”

This is my Advent understanding process. 1. Visualizing those trees. 2. Asking how and what questions to invite the STORY. 3. Waitressing

We have enough to give the hungry food. We have enough to give the thirsty drink. We have enough to welcome the stranger into our borders.

This parable is about the courage to use the gifts God gave you. Not courage in the face of fear, but courage in the face of comfort.

Hope is made manifest in what we do, not just how we feel. Just as our faith is made manifest in how we live, not just how we worship.

We may never fully know or see the kingdom in this lifetime, but I think we get glimpses.

Reading and applying the Bible without love can get pretty scary pretty fast. It’s love that rescues us.

In this world, a species can only thrive when everything else around it thrives, too.

The work doesn’t end. We don’t wake up one day having mastered how to do this. We practice. We make mistakes. We learn. We do better.

Make me an instrument of your peace.

Where humans rail for fairness, for people deserving what they get or don’t get, God simply gives what is needed, no questions asked.

We are each fragile, each susceptible, each human. And we can remember that those are the things that connect us, to God and to each other.

What we do in this community, how we practice loving and choosing each other again and again, reverberates through our lives.

When we seek only for our own life, our own well being, our own comfort, our own safety, we lose our life in Christ.

I am so grateful for each of you and the gifts you bring and all the ways we continue to love each other through this difficult time.
